Okay, I have to say it: the people of Georgia’s 14th District are obviously the dumbest people in America. Anyone who thought that Marjorie Taylor Greene deserved a seat in our country’s House of Representatives has the brain of a rotting piece of wood.
Regardless of your politics or your support of the poorly written 2nd Amendment, Kyle Rittenhouse murdered two unarmed men and wounded another. His reason for driving from Aurora, Illinois to Kenosha, Wisconsin was based purely on racism. He took human lives at a BLM protest and that falls under the standard of hate crimes. The families of two men have been harmed forever, and no one will pay for the early demise of two innocent victims. Unarmed means unarmed, and self-defense was not a viable claim by the defense.
So, what does Greene think about this horrific situation? What she said displayed a level of overt racism I have never seen in my life since the end of Jesse Helms’ final term of office. Some of you may believe that Steve King of Iowa is worthy of that label. He is trying harder but continues to fall behind a man who obviously had a white hooded robe in his closet.
She suggested that the House “award a Congressional Gold Medal to Kyle H. Rittenhouse, who protected the community of Kenosha, Wisconsin, during a Black Lives Matter (BLM) riot on August 25, 2020.”
This was not a riot. Men and women who believe in justice were protesting another murder by a cop of a Black man. Rittenhouse is an ally of the Proud Boys and other white supremacist groups who would shred the 1st Amendment and place all Americans of color in slavery. This young man should have been sentenced to death. Instead, he continues to be praised by right-wing extremists who praise the insurrectionists who attempted to overthrow our government on January 6th.
In the 21st century, our government cannot allow hatred to be the primary motivator in Washington. Greene, Lauren Boebert, Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, Ted Cruz, Boll Johnson, Josh Hawley, and others who place the future of their country in jeopardy must be removed from office. They have proven themselves to be seditionists and oppose democracy in America.
Greene has labeled the murderer as a “hero” revealing the fact that she and her constituents are opposed to the 1st Amendment and the rule of law.
“May Kyle and his family now live in peace. Those who help, protect, and defend are the good guys. Kyle is one of good ones,” Greene tweeted last week after the verdict was announced.
Sadness is the only emotion I can relate to as I hear right-wing extremists continue to support fascism in America. Not once before I reached the age of 70, in 2016, did I believe I would see men and women who hate America hold office in our nation’s government. Trump and his supporters violated their oaths of office daily, and cannot claim to be Americans. They are fascists who would overthrow our government and place Trump in a position to be our nation’s first dictator.
